We’ve got some interviews lined up for the coming weeks and our first should be comic’s painter Mark Sparacio. Mark is an incredible painter whose work stretches from DC Comic’s Green Lantern to Dark Horse’s Shi, to indy titles such as some book called GravyBoy.
Look for the interview very soon, in the meantime check out […]
A few years ago I bought a small, pocket-sized sketchbook. There was just something cool about it, but it was misplaced and I forgot about it after a while.
Then last year I stumbled across a site about the Moleskine notebook. “Wait!” I thought, “That’s my notebook. Where IS that thing?!?” […]
In the February or March issue of Preview Magazine (where North American shops order most of their comics from) GravyBoy issue 1 will hopefully be among the throng of titles. Here’s the cover art to that issue. Randy Green (Witchblade, Emma Frost, Academy X)did a great job as usual on the pencils, Rick Ketcham […]

Sometimes I get the chance while doing commissions to do some semi-obscure characters. In fact, it seems that I typically get requests for characters that are out of the mainstream consciousness. This particular one features a couple members from the JSA. There’s so many more characters even in the superhero genre than […]
When do you know it’s time to drop a book from your reading list? Well, only YOU can answer that question for you. But here are 4 reasons why I have in the past:
- TOO MUCH EXPOSITION - This was the foe that finally defeated the Teen Titans in Brian’s world. I […]
I don’t know what it is about the character of Mary Marvel…or Captain Marvel…that fascinates me. Maybe, in the case of the Cap, it’s the idea of a kid being able to transforms into a superpowered adult at will. Who of us wouldn’t have liked to speak a magic word and then “SHAZAM!” […]
For those of you who aren’t in the know, each year contains 5 seasons for the comic book aficionado. Sure there’s the standard winter, spring, summer, and autumn nonsense. Any buffoon can enjoy those…but it takes a special kind of buffoon to enjoy the other. And we, sir, are just the type […]
This week Andy Reviews: Tron, Ultimate Fantastic Four, Earthboy Jacobus and discusses Operation Comix Relief.
Brian discovers that all that Andy needs to survive a war experience is the back of a Fruity Pebbles Cereal Box.

We finally got our problem resolved with gravyboy.com. Apparently some hacker crook decided it would be fun to go into one of our seldom used directories and create a fake Royal Bank of Canada login page. I’ll have to hand it to them, it was great work.
Dirty thieves.
In other news, look for the first episode […]
For 2007, I’ve decided to try a little experiment. I’ll upload a short 3-5 minute sketch video of, well, me sketching. Why? 1)Because we have a comic book to promote, and every little bit helps and 2) people seem to like that sort of thing.
LINK TO THIS WEEK’S VIDEO SKETCH
I’ve had links in my previous post to www.gravyboy.com. This is the place that houses our comic, webcomic and other nonsense that Jack Rabbit Stewdios puts out. If you’re wondering why, when you click on the link, it says “site suspended”…that would be because someone hacked it, set up a phishing page, and was trying […]
One of the features on this blog will be our weekly webcomic, Fanboy Almanac. FA covers the misadventures of four average fanboys and the sideways world in which they live. Some of the material is fictional….some of it…well you can’t make this stuff up. Check out our archives at http://gravyboy.com/fanboyalmanac/archive.html
