A few years ago I bought a small, pocket-sized sketchbook. There was just something cool about it, but it was misplaced and I forgot about it after a while.

Then last year I stumbled across a site about the Moleskine notebook. “Wait!” I thought, “That’s my notebook. Where IS that thing?!?” After a little rummaging I found it in a junk drawer. I started carrying it around, making it a point to both carry it with me AND to draw/write down ideas in it.

I admit, I’m addicted to the book now. And am getting ready to start filling up my second one. It’s hard to say why I like it so much, but among some of the reasons is that it’s easy to sketch people without it being obvious.
